Getting back to normal? or not?

Well, school has been out for a couple of weeks now, but where is my vacation? Cason and Dustin had boy scout camp the first week that we were out of school and I had to have them at the church by 8:15 each morning. So much for sleeping late. They had a good time, but usually came home cranky and arguing. Their theme was “Digging in the Dirt” and they spent time planting flowers and catching worms and such. What else does a boy want to do?

Near the end of that week, John and his children came for a brief visit, that turned in to a week-long adventure for the oldest 4 grandchildren as Andrew and Josh stayed when John and the rest of the family went back home.

Bible school was this past week. Again, I had to get up and get Cason and Dustin to our church by 9:00 and Evan to daycare before that. I helped with the music. We had a great time. Andrew and Josh came each day as well and the four boys had a blast as we had adventures on the “Arctic Edge”. Boy am I glad to be finished with those songs.

We spent each afternoon at Mom’s swimming and playing outside with Andrew and Josh. The boys caught lizards, played with Holly, and had loads of fun together.

All in all, it has been a great couple of weeks, but I am ready for some plain ole summertime laziness – to sit around and do nothing for at least a day or two.
